SCIRE Professional (in conjunction with SCI-BC and UBC Faculty of Medicine) is offering CME accredited sessions in April/May 2024 entitled “Primary Care and Spinal Cord Injury (SCI): What Do I Need to Know?”

We have partnered with the top physiatrists at GF Strong to address a long-standing gap of knowledge in Primary Care, that is, how to recognize and account for the complexities in people with SCI so that they can receive proper screening for other health conditions and avoid unnecessary hospitalization. All courses are accredited in British Columbia for one MainPro+1.0 credit per hour attended.

Cost: All courses are free! (Registration for BC Family Doctors and Nurse Practitioners includes $20 gift card to Starbucks 😊)

The courses will be delivered live on Zoom from 8am-9am (PDT).

The courses are:

  • April 18th – Cardiovascular Health and SCI – Dr. Andrea Townson
  • April 24th – Skin Health and SCI – Dr. Rhonda Willms
  • May 1st – Blood Pressure and SCI – Dr. Andrei Krassioukov
  • May 7th – Bladder and SCI – Dr. Viet Vu
